  1. Evangel Christian Fellowship Cultivating God-Consciousness Part 2 Ludwig 07/07/19

  2. Hebrews 12:18-24 18For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, 19and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. 20(For they could not endure what was commanded: And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow. 21And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, I am exceedingly afraid and trembling. ) Evangel Christian Fellowship

  3. 22But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. 6. Genesis 28:10-12 10Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. 11So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. 12Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 7. Genesis 28:16-17 16Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it. 17And he was afraid and said, How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven! Evangel Christian Fellowship

  8. John 1:51 51And He said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  9. Revelation 5:11-14 11Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12saying with a loud voice: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing! Evangel Christian Fellowship

  10. 13And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever andever! 14Then the four living creatures said, Amen! And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  11. 2 Kings 6:8-17 8Now the king of Syria was making war against Israel; and he consulted with his servants, saying, My camp will be in such and such a place. 9And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there. 10Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice. 11Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel? 12And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom. 12. 13So he said, Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him. And it was told him, saying, Surely he is in Dothan. 14Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 15And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? 16So he answered, Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. 17And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see. Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  14. Isaiah 1:1, 11-13 1The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? Says the LORD. I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats. 12 When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts? Evangel Christian Fellowship

  15. 13Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  16. EKKLESIA (Church) It was used among the Greeks of a body of citizens gathered to discuss the affair of state. See Acts 19:39 Evangel Christian Fellowship

  17. By Kevin Conner Adapted from 'Restoration Theology' and 'The Book of Revelation' In essence, therefore the Church, the ekklesia, is a body of people, not so much assembling because they have chosen to come together, but assembling because God has called them to Himself; not so much assembling to share their own thoughts or opinions, but assembling to listen to the voice of God and act for Him in their community. 18. Psalm 149:1-9 1 Praisethe LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints. 2Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. 4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  19. 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. 6Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, 7To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; 8To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; 9To execute on them the written judgment This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD! Evangel Christian Fellowship

  20. Nehemiah 8:1-8 1 Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded Israel. 2So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who could hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  21. 3Then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law. 4So Ezra the scribe stood on a platform of wood which they had made for the purpose; and beside him, at his right hand, stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Urijah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah; and at his left hand Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  22. 5And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was standing above all the people; and when he opened it, all the people stood up. 6And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. Then all the people answered, Amen, Amen! while lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground. 7Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, helped the people to understand the Law; and the people stood in their place.8So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading. 23. 6. Church of the Firstborn Birthright for the firstborn son (See Esau and Jacob Gen 25:2-34) The Double Portion Jacob sought the spiritual, Esau the natural Do not despise the birthright Jesus is the firstborn from the dead (Rev 1:5) Jesus is bringing many sons to Glory He blesses us (Genesis 1:27-28, Eph 1:) God wants to give us double (Is 61:7) Blessings upon obedience (Deut 28:2) Evangel Christian Fellowship

  24. Genesis 25:29-34 29Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary. 30And Esau said to Jacob, Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary. Therefore his name was called Edom. 31But Jacob said, Sell me your birthright as of this day. 32And Esau said, Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me? 33Then Jacob said, Swear to me as of this day. So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. 34And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. 25. Revelation 1:5 5and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. Hebrews 2:10 10For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  26. Genesis 1:27-28 27So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28Then God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  27. Isaiah 61:7 7Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. Evangel Christian Fellowship

  28. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
