Hebrews 12:18-24 18For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, 19and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. 20(For they could not endure what was commanded: And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow. 21And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, I am exceedingly afraid and trembling. ) Evangel Christian Fellowship

22But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. 4. An Innumerable company of angels Open heavens It s my connection with Jesus I am worshipping with a multitude of angels There are more for us than against us (2 Kings 6:8-17) I walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7) Evangel Christian Fellowship

Genesis 28:10-12 10Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. 11So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. 12Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice. 11Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel? 12And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom. 13So he said, Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him. And it was told him, saying, Surely he is in Dothan. 14Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 15And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? 16So he answered, Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. 17And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see. Isaiah 1:1, 11-13 1The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? Says the LORD. I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats. 12 When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts? Evangel Christian Fellowship

13Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. Evangel Christian Fellowship

EKKLESIA (Church) It was used among the Greeks of a body of citizens gathered to discuss the affair of state. See Acts 19:39 Evangel Christian Fellowship

Nehemiah 8:1-8 1 Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded Israel. 2So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who could hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month. Church of the Firstborn Birthright for the firstborn son (See Esau and Jacob Gen 25:2-34) The Double Portion Jacob sought the spiritual, Esau the natural Do not despise the birthright Jesus is the firstborn from the dead (Rev 1:5) Jesus is bringing many sons to Glory He blesses us (Genesis 1:27-28, Eph 1:) God wants to give us double (Is 61:7) Blessings upon obedience (Deut 28:2) Evangel Christian Fellowship

Genesis 25:29-34 29Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary. 30And Esau said to Jacob, Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary. Therefore his name was called Edom. 31But Jacob said, Sell me your birthright as of this day. 32And Esau said, Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me? 33Then Jacob said, Swear to me as of this day. So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. 34And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
