  1. Laser Science Facility Update at TIFR-Hyderabad

  2. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Hyderabad Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India Established: 2010 Research Areas: o Physics o Chemistry o Life Science o Material Science Affiliated to: Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Mumbai) Website: https://www.tifrh.res.in

  3. The TRISHUL (TIFR Research Infrastructure for Studies in High-intensity Ultra-short Lasers), is a TIFR, Hyderabad laser facility. TRISHUL

  4. About TRISHUL

  5. Progress Update

  6. Incorporation of EPICS in Control System A central control platform will integrate subsystems from various manufacturers, enabling users to manage hundreds of devices from a single window. The control system is based on the EPICS framework, with CSS-Phoebus for the user interface. An optimized network design ensures scalable performance. Interlocks and a Machine Protection System guarantee fail-safe operations. Extensive data archiving supports analysis, visualization, and diagnostics. EPIC (Extreme Photonics Innovation Centre) is a UK-India initiative developing laser-driven accelerator technology. Funded by UKRI ( 4M), it is jointly established by CLF (UK) and TIFR, housed at TIFR Hyderabad. The project leverages EPIC s software expertise from multiple CLF laser facilities.

  7. The EPICS India Collaboration Meeting marks the first pan-India gathering dedicated to EPICS and its related technologies. Organized at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Hyderabad, on 28th & 29th of November 2024. Published on the website https://epic-innovation.org/happenings/events/epics-india- collaboration-meeting-2024/ EPICS India Collaboration Meeting -2024 Around 40+ participants. Around 10 institutes participated. Most of them comes under Department of Atomic Energy (Govt. of India).
