Open Data CoMC January 2025
Background RECCo have been collating a Meta Data Catalogue based on the DPM Classification of the Data: Always Open Conditionally Open Personal Closed Managed under R0148, been issued for consultation CoMC have responded on this with the data classification CoMC asked for a further opportunity to review once the processes were established to understand the controls planned to be in place We have re-iterated this at every opportunity We have been asked to provide a dataset to RECCo to support their Open Data reporting We understand that this is not planned to publish MPRN level data Note: we have re: reviewed this and some of the classifications been amended More conservative classification
Closed Following defined as Closed for the Open Data reasons: Relates to Commercial Data / Contract Data We would not expect that this data would be in the Consolidated Report
Personal Following defined as Personal for the Open Data reasons: Supply Meter Point Information MPRN [/ Address] data will need to be issued for Consolidated Open Data as the indexing But otherwise would not expect that this data would be in the Consolidated Report
Conditionally Open Previously classified as Conditionally Open Not necessarily personal, but may indicate data that may be personal data e.g. MSN; EUC CoMC flagged concerns re: Commercial Sensitivity of this data e.g. portfolio data sizes therefore greater level of scrutiny Additional items been classified as Conditionally Open Total 129 data items classified in this way Indicates status of site e.g. Isolation Status Status of Contract e.g. withdrawal status Further Settlement Details e.g. SOQ; Class Charging Details e.g. IGT Transportation Rates??? Some of these data items will be requested by RECCo as part of the Open Data Report Example:
Consolidated Report Monthly extract to support reporting We don t know the nature of the reports Planned as dual fuel Currently doing an IA on this We have assessed the relevance of some of the data Excluded History Data This is planned as a CDSP FS We will therefore share details with CoMC following IA We will need to update the DPM to share provision of data to RECCo
