Data Collection Methods and Tools in Study Design
This section delves into different data collection instruments used in studies, including questionnaires, cognitive assessments, and physical measurements. It also explores challenges in comparing data collected using new versus older instruments, citing examples from the Millennium Cohort Study and British Cohort Study. The role of questionnaires and cognitive assessments in gathering information and assessing cognitive abilities is elucidated with examples. Health assessments and vocabulary tests are discussed as key components of data collection methods.
