Data Flow from WISEdata to WISEdash Data Flow from WISEdata to WISEdash Student Information System LEA / School / District WISEdata Portal WISEdash for Districts WISEdash Public Portal WISEdata Portal Submission Data Entry Validation Review Once the data is submitted correctly, it will flow into the data warehouse, also known as WISEdash. LEAs (school/district) collect student data and enter into their local SIS. LEAs push data from their SIS to the WISEdata Portal for validation. LEAs monitor and review the errors and warnings and make any necessary corrections in their SIS. Accountability Report Card is pulled from the WISEdash for Districts.
Mismatching Name / Birthdate WISEdata column is reported from your SIS. WISEid column is reported from the WISEid app.

Why WISEdash? Why WISEdash? What makes WISEdash the best place to review snapshot data??? Snapshots are MADE in WISEdash from WISEdash data giving you the most accurate preview of data before a snapshot. WISEdash data is post error correction showing you data at the end of the pipeline. Some snapshot data ONLY exists in WISEdash. SPED Assessment is only indicated in WISEdash Spring Snapshot Dashboard Graduation Cohorts are also exclusively determined in WISEdash so WISEdash is the best place to look at graduation rates before a snapshot
Whats a Snapshot What s a Snapshot Snapshot Definition: The set of current data that is frozen at a given time is referred to as a snapshot and forms the basis of this static or certified data used for reporting. Reliable -Static- Results: As we report a school year s enrollments, attendance, graduation rates, dropouts, discipline, demographics we need that data to remain Static so that we can reproduce results and rely on those results over time. Copied from Data Flow: To create a static or certified version of data we copy (or snapshot) data that flows into WISEdash on given snapshot dates.

Data Quality Indicators Data Quality Indicators Data Quality Indicator (DQI) at a glance of your data Points out potential issues 3 types of DQIs Informational count total or percentage Caution data may be questionable or in error Goal: 0 expected total is zero, may still be correct based on student scenario

Important to Note Important to Note Accountable vs Attending Accountable (default): the student may or may not attend your district but you are responsible for the accountability of the student. Attending: the student attends your district but you may or may not be accountable for them. Acctbl School vs Acctbl Sch Acctbl School: longer title of school name. Acctbl Sch: shorter title of school name.
Spring Snapshot Spring Snapshot These demographics are captured on the snapshot date and used in assessment data reporting for the State Accountability Report Cards, Indicator 3 for children with disabilities, federal consolidated state performance reports (CSPR), and ESSA federal Accountability Indicators. Migrant Status, English Language Learner, Homeless, and Parent in the Military are required for public LEAs only. Race/Ethnicity, Gender, Grade Level, Disability Status, Economically Disadvantaged Status, and Food Services Eligibility for all LEAs.
Spring Demographics Spring Demographics (1 of 2) (1 of 2) Use filters to disaggregate the data into more manageable size to review against SIS reports. Use filters to review totals for important demographics: Economic Status English Learners Students with Disabilities SPED Assessment Homeless If the totals are incorrect, view the student list to see the discrepancy. Once determined, Review the student(s) in WISEdata to see if a validation message is impacting data. Review the student(s) in your SIS to see if the demographics are reported and sending correctly.
Spring Demographics Spring Demographics (2 of 2) (2 of 2) SPED Assessment: student had an IEP at any point during the assessment window (Dec-Jun). SPED: student s current IEP status.
