BDO - general information BDO is an IT system created pursuant to the provisions of the Waste Act of 14 December 2012 The BDO system is to enable comprehensive collection and management of information on waste management BDO is to ensure fully electronic performance of registration, recording and reporting obligations

  3. Operators register module BDO Register - Register of entities introducing products, products in packaging and managing waste The register is kept by the Governors of Provinces (Voivodships) As of 1 January 2020, paper-based applications will be replaced by electronic applications Within one entity there will be a possibility to create accounts for multiple users

  4. Waste management module As of 1 January 2020, the Act on Waste will oblige waste holders to keep current quantitative and qualitative records of waste in the BDO In order to keep records in the BDO system it is necessary to be registered with the BDO Register The data of the transferring, transporting and receiving entity are collected from the BDO Register - we recommend verifying the correctness of the data in the register Transport of waste between the sites of a single entity requires a waste handover card

Reporting module As of 2020, reporting obligations of entities with respect to waste management will be fulfilled through the BDO system Types of reports in BDO: Reports on products, packaging and waste management Reports on generated waste and on waste management Reports on municipal waste management

Benefits of the BDO system Increase control over country waste management Ensuring monitoring of waste flow through the introduction of the obligation to keep records of waste in the BDO system Optimization of reporting processes on the conducted waste management Optimization of registration, updating and deletion of entities from the register

  7. System architecture BDO Browser access Access via BDO-API Data Center at the Ministry of Environment Data Center at a domestic Cloud Services Provider

Training and Contact Center Starting from October, training on BDO at the Pol-Eco fair and in provincial cities, and starting from January, weekly training courses organized by the IO -PIB for interested entities Training in the form of webinars and instructional clips, so called tutorials, available at www.bdo.mos.gov.pl Launch of an advanced version of Contact Center in December
