Managing Your Safety on Campus Faculty, staff and students are strongly encouraged to seek a COVID-19 vaccine as a safe and highly effective means of protection against the virus. Davenport is participating in the White House Vaccination Challenge for Universities. Vaccinations Vaccinated persons no longer require quarantine after exposure. Vaccinated students no longer require gating or surveillance testing in order to participate in athletics or live in our residence halls. Unvaccinated students living in resident halls and student athletes will be tested at the beginning of the semester, isolating those with positive results. Unvaccinated student athletes undergo ongoing surveillance testing during their season as a requirement for participation, isolating those with positive results. Testing Faculty, staff and students who present symptoms of COVID-19 will be advised to remain home and seek medical attention which may include testing. Facial coverings/masks are currently required in all indoor, shared spaces Except for brief periods when seated and eating Except for athletic practice and competition where surveillance testing is employed Personal Protective Equipment 3
