  1. MakingThings Right When Things Go Wrong

  2. When Things Go Wrong The importance of attitude. The difference conviction can make.

  3. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals Self evaluation: 1. What am I living for? 2. What am I working towards? 3. What are some things I want to achieve?

  4. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals What are typical goals? Health Wealth Family Job Management Spiritual More Better New years Monday Tomorrow Someday

  5. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals At some point we have to chose what is most important. What is THE goal in life? "LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. (Psalm 39:4) Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4:14)

  6. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals Not a new concept: Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve (Joshua 24:15) How long will you hesitate between two opinions? (1 Kings 18:21) No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. (Matthew 6:24)

  7. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals Take notes: 1. What are actionable items? 2. Are there specific things mentioned that we should be working on? 3. Are there any concepts mentioned that help us understand the bigger picture? 4. Any processes mentioned?

  8. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:11-12)

  9. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY. (1 Peter 1:13-16)

  10. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:3-4)

  11. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:23-27)

  12. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals What is our ultimate goal? HEAVEN What is the system or process to get there?

  13. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals Jesus at an early age: Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business? (Luke 2:49) Jesus on the cross as He died: He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit (John 19:30)

  14. When Things Go Wrong Check Your Goals let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
