  1. LESSON 7: Rejection: The Pain of Not Measuring UP

  2. Rejection and Its Effects But what is it exactly that we do when we condemn someone? When we condemn another, we really communicate that he or she is in some deep, and just possibly, irredeemable way, bad bad as a whole, and to be rejected. In our eyes the condemned is among the discards of human life. He or she is not acceptable. We sentence that person to exclusion. Dallas Willard

  3. Definition of Rejection Rejection is the sense of being unwanted or excluded This creates an inner tension because God has made us relational with the desire to be loved and to belong. This has been a primary consideration as a common root for personal problems.

  4. Matthew 3:16-17 After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased. The perceived you are s of the parents can become the inner I am s of the children. David Seamands

  5. Self-Rejection The lie we believe when we feel rejected is, I m not worth anything, so it s completely understandable that people will reject me. A spirit of rejection convinces you that you will be rejected, and then every word and action of other people is interpreted through the eyes of rejection.

  6. Our deliverance from rejection rests in knowing & believing that John 3:16 and Isaiah 49:15-16 are not just words spoken in the wind, but the promise of a faithful and trustworthy God.

  7. Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. Isaiah 49:15-16

  8. For God so loved the world (you), that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
