  3. Who pays for our campus buildings and renovations? Before: The Commonwealth Now: College Campuses Massachusetts State College Building Authority (MSCBA) is our campus lender, and SSU pays annual debt service for: Mass Dept. of Capital Assets Management & Maintenance DCAMM paid 100% of costs for: 2013 Library & Learning Commons 2010 Renovation of Sullivan Building 1990 s Central Campus 1970 s South Campus 1960 s North Campus Dorms, Meier Hall & facilities DCAMM owns the buildings and rents the land from the state for $1, but Deferred Maintenance is now the responsibility of the Campus. $223,873,734 in projects 14 million paid annually, mostly through student fees

  5. Yet, even during this pandemic our Board wants to continue taking on debt on the back of students! Proposes less than 50 % of financing from the Commonwealth Commits all of SSU reserves, 15 million Will increase student fees Lacked an inclusive planning process PROJECT BOLD
