Deedee Corradini, the first and only female mayor of Salt Lake City, served from 1992 to 2000 and is currently the President of Women's Ski Jumping-USA. Deedee Corradini Deedee Corradini President President Women s Ski Jumping, USA Women s Ski Jumping, USA
Ms. Corradini is an businesswoman and politician. She served as the 32nd mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah from 1992 to 2000. She was Salt Lake City's first and only female mayor. Ms. Corradini is President of Women's Ski Jumping-USA. She has been on the WSJ-USA board since 2004, taking a lead role in the 8 year battle to get women's ski jumping into the Olympic Winter Games. She is also Senior Vice President of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Utah. She attended school in Lebanon and Syria for 11 years as a child. Deedee received her Bachelor s and Master s degrees from the University of Utah. She served as Press Secretary to Congressman Wayne Owens of Utah and then was Special Assistant to Rep. Richard Ottinger of New York in the early 1970s. As Mayor, Deedee worked hard to help land Salt Lake City the 2002 Winter Olympics. Corradini was the first woman to receive the Olympic flag when it was passed to Salt Lake City at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. Under her watch, the city's population experienced a tremendous growth spurt, as the metropolitan area of Salt Lake City and the rest of the state began to grow by thousands of families a month.
