Todays Objective We will make a student portrait based on his/her assets to support the student s learning and educational experience. 1/13/17 2

Follow up activity for 5 PDPs Develop a student resume with your student. Revise portrait based on student s responses. Email to Leah and Katie by February 13th. 1/13/17 4

Portrait-Resume Practice Katie decodes well when reading books of interest. She can read these with fluency. Our next steps are to work on comprehension strategies. 1/13/17 12
His summer art teacher said, Issack was fun to have in class, his excitement and joy are contagious and he loved creating art. Portuguese is the language spoken in the home. Issack started to learn English when he was 5. Issack Issack would like to be a policeman or carpenter. Issack likes to play with legos and to play outside. He is very curious. He loves to build things. Issack benefits from one on one support with academic tasks. Issack s mom is from Nova Venecia, Brazil. Issack was born in Boston but moved back to Brazil for 2.5 years before moving to MV. Issack did not attend preschool Issack has a 3 yr old little brother. When entering kindergarten, Issack s mom said her Hopes and Dreams were for him to learn English, get along with peers, and read & write. Mom s dreams remain the same now. Issack can write basic sentences in English with sentence frames Issack has been at the Oak Bluffs School for 1 year . He will be moving back to the Edgartown school this month. ACCESS Scores Listening: 1.3 Speaking: 1.7 Reading: 1 Writing: 1.4 With assistance, he mastered his language goal, Describe and label emotions; Recount events of stories using first, next and last; Explain feelings adding the word because. during the 2016 ESL summer program and he had perfect attendance. Issack attended ESL summer program for two summers. During his first schooling experience at the 2015 ESL summer program Issack made HUGE progress in a short time together. By the end of the program, Issack demonstrated counting up to 10. He is still working on counting and one to one correspondence.. 1/13/17 Issack spent half of Kindergarten at the Edgartown School before moving to the Oak Bluffs School. 13 Issack reads at a level A.
