Assignment 3 Digital Citizenship Reflection By Lexi
DIGITAL WELLNESS How can screen time be beneficial? How can screen time affect us negatively? Screen time can benefit us because it can help us control how much we use our devices daily. Another way its beneficial is that it shows how much more time you ve spent on your phone and it sends reminders about it. It can affect us negatively though by annoying kids and leading them to get mad at there phones.
PRIVACY & SECURITY At what age should people be allowed to use social media in your opinion? In my opinion I think that social media is tolerable for a child with the age 12 or over. This is because social media can actually have an humorous impact on kids especially younger ones. Mainly because it can be full of inappropriate sites, or it can actually impact how a child matures and force them to mature quicker than they should be. DIGITAL COMMUNICATION How should you respond to online hate speech? How can we act with empathy and positivity when we are online? Personally, if I got something hateful said about me on social media that I happen to come across the main thing I would do is just ignore it. But sometimes it's hard to ignore hateful comments especially if there's a lot of them. I would say just don t look at people's comments or block/report them if there saying hateful things.
