Your school name Each school will have one digital folder, created by Lead Teacher, with the following: POS I folder ** POS II folder ** POS III folder ** POS IV folder ** POS V folder ** POS VI folder ** folder for each course ** **subfolders for each POS/course as needed Each program will receive a copy of this Powerpoint and will link artifacts where indicated Remove the instructions as you link artifacts. Evaluators will access this PowerPoint as they review your program All documentation must be uploaded by the deadlines indicated on Industry Certification calendar Refer to FY 25 IC Calendar

  2. Welcome Presentation This presentation will be shared at the Industry Certification final evaluation onsite visit. Health Science teachers and administrators will present a brief overview of the school s goals, mission, programs, demographics, etc EXAMPLE presentation This slide is where Welcome Presentation will be linked.

  3. Industry Certification Final Evaluation Agenda MORNING Agenda Template AFTERNOON Agenda Template This slide is where your agenda will be linked EXAMPLE agenda Secure at least 6 local health care professionals to serve on your Industry Certification Final Evaluation team. Avoid using persons employed with your school unless absolutely necessary. Approved school/district employees might include school nurse, athletic trainer, speech language therapist, physical therapist or occupational therapist. Evaluators will be needed for these duties: - one evaluator for POS I IV this will be completed virtually at least 2 weeks before Industry Certification Final Evaluation - one evaluator for POS V VI this will be completed onsite on day of Industry Certification Final Evaluation - one evaluator for student interviews - one evaluator for counselor interviews - one evaluator for Introduction to Healthcare and Essentials of Healthcare course standards - one evaluator for every two third level courses if you offer one or two pathways, you only need one evaluator **course standards rubrics will be completed virtually at least two weeks before Industry Certification Final Evaluation

You will email POS rubrics with links to your documentation and artifacts to evaluator prior to Industry Certification Final Evaluation visit. Introduction to Healthcare course standards rubric EXAMPLE documentation Teachers select three standards from each course taught: Showcase artifacts for each of these standards and elements (substandards) artifacts should be no more than 2 years old Required documentation covering each standard and element: Lesson plan Graded summative and formative evaluations of student learning, including feedback of assessments, rubrics examples from the past two years (protect student privacy ) Pictures may be used as supporting evidence but do not take the place of rubrics and assessments. This slide is where artifacts from Introduction to Healthcare will be located. You will email course curriculum rubrics with links to your documentation and artifacts to evaluator prior to Industry Certification Final Evaluation visit. Third level course standards rubric choose the standards for your school s program Allied Health and Medicine Teachers select three standards from each course taught: Patient Care Fundamentals Showcase artifacts for each of these standards and elements (substandards) artifacts should be no more than 2 years old Sports Medicine Required documentation covering each standard and element: Lesson plan Graded summative and formative evaluations of student learning, including feedback of assessments, rubrics examples from the past two years (protect student privacy ) Pictures may be used as supporting evidence but do not take the place of rubrics and assessments. Create a new slide and document for each third level course offered at your school Essentials of Biotechnology Applications of Biotechnology Clinical Lab 1 You will email course curriculum rubrics with links to your documentation and artifacts to evaluator prior to Industry Certification Final Evaluation visit. Copy email to spye.industrycertga@outlook.com Surgical Technician Emergency Medical Responder Evaluator will give report at Final Evaluation meeting. Diagnostics Phlebotomy **if course not listed, please contact Sharon Pye as soon as possible.

  13. Student interviews A survey link will be sent to you by October 31. Distribute link to at least one student from each course taught at your school. Surveys must be completed by December 5, 2024. If on block schedule, surveys from spring semester courses must be completed by January 15, 2025. Results will be shared with you at January 16 workshop or before. Print copy of student interview google survey results. Provide copy to evaluator and secure location for evaluator to interview at least one student from each course taught. These students will be interviewed as a group during the Industry Certification Final Evaluation visit. Provide one copy of Interview Summary form to evaluator

  14. Counselor interview A survey link will be sent to you by October 31. Distribute link to counselor. Surveys must be completed by December 5, 2024. Results will be shared with you at January 16 workshop or before. Print copy of counselor interview google survey that was completed in December, 2024. Results will be shared with you at January 16 workshop or before Provide copy to evaluator and secure location for evaluator to interview counselor during the Industry Certification Final Evaluation visit. Provide copy of Interview Summary form to evaluator

  15. Principal (or designee) and CTAE Director interviews A survey link will be sent to you by October 31. Distribute link to Principal and CTAE Director. Surveys must be completed by December 5, 2024. Results will be shared with you at January 16 workshop or before. Print copy of Principal AND CTAE Director interview google survey results. Provide copy to Sandra Martin and Sharon Pye. Secure location for interview. Provide copy of Interview Summary form to Sandra Martin and Sharon Pye

  16. Self study evaluation report Select 2 3 teachers and/or administrators to review all of your documentation as if they were a part of the Industry Certification Final Evaluation team. Submit report by February 7, 2025

  17. Industry Certification guidelines All teachers attend and actively participate in August 15 virtual workshop, September 5 and January 16 workshops in Macon, Ga. , Industry Certification pre-visit, and Industry Certification Final Evaluation meeting. Complete participant profile surveys as requested. Follow Industry Certification calendar and instructions/link in this PowerPoint. If you are unable to access any links, let Sharon know as soon as possible. Choose a lead teacher to create a shared digital folder with all program teachers. Share access to your program digital folder and documents with Sharon Pye and Sandra Martin. Make a copy of this PowerPoint and rename with your school/program. All of your program documentation and artifacts will be linked to your copy of PP. Respond to emails and phone calls in timely manner. Ask questions. Be prepared to shine .you all work hard every day to provide the best possible experiences for your students!!

  18. Industry Certification pre-visits Virtual meeting with all program teachers, Sharon Pye and Sandra Martin - scheduled after school or during planning period. Review of Industry Certification Final Evaluation Powerpoint with your artifacts. Review activities and plans for Industry Certification Final Evaluation onsite meeting.

  19. Industry Certification Final Evaluation onsite meeting Invite all members of Industry Certification Final Evaluation team, administrators, and any BOE members to meeting. Do this in September and at least one month before meeting. Parking instructions for guests - provide these ahead of time. Cones and signage to reserve parking. Inform SRO, parking staff, and school check in/receptionist that guests will be arriving. Assign HOSA members to greet guests and direct to Industry Certification Final Evaluation meeting room. Provide light refreshments (optional). Provide agendas (morning or afternoon) for all attendees. Print rubrics and course equipment lists for POS V and POS VI. Scan completed rubrics and equipment lists and send to Sharon Pye.
