Photography NO taking pictures in patient care areas HIPAA violations Includes patients Includes patient information (written and digital) Includes patient family Includes patient visitors NO using unlicensed photos in MCHD materials Contact Ashley Smith at x 1302 for access to licensed images

  3. Outside Vendors NO Photography by Outside Vendors Outside Vendors should not be allowed to photograph employees for marketing purposes MCHD has a no solicitation policy Employees should not accept items/treats from outside vendors, organizations, political parties, etc.

  4. Social Media Any on-line communication methods where you Are either the author, the audience, or both Wherever you interact with others online / public and private Includes but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, etc. Blog sites, Bulletin boards You Tube and Media sites such as news media sites

  5. Social Media Donts Never when you are with a patient / Never share or post information about patients (HIPAA) Never post confidential District information Never represent yourself as communicating on behalf of the District Never use District branding unless given permission

  6. CAHPS Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems

  7. What Are CAHPS? Surveys given to our patients about the care they received while they were in our Hospital or after using one of our product lines Scored by consistency Always Sometimes Never

  8. How are they Administered? Surveys administered by third party vendors Mail/ Email / Text surveys (Press Ganey) go to: Inpatient (Med Surg, ICU, Labor & Delivery) Surgery Emergency Room Physician Clinics Mailed (only) surveys: Home Health (Press Ganey) Hospice patients (Wellsky)

  9. What else? Compared to a national database and reported for patient viewing (HCAHPS, OASCAHPS) Include all sizes of hospitals ALSO: Internal tablet surveys are located in: Therapy Lab/Respiratory Radiology Internal use to stop bad patient experiences.

  10. What to Remember? Raw Score The percentage of patients who gave you the best possible score. We track and report this score. They are Important Allows us to track how well we care for our patients Exceptional Care Always

  14. About the MCHF Charitable Organization Tax Exempt 501(c)(3) Separate Entity from the Hospital District Originally established to raise funds to build the EMS Building in 1996 Lay dormant for ten years until current Administration reactivated it to build for MCHD s future

  15. Fundraising Raises money for the District in a variety of ways Sporting Clays Tournament April/May Scholarship Luncheon May/June Harvest August/ September Bi-Annual Scrub Fairs Community Giving &Employee Giving Planned Giving

  16. Accomplishments Construction of MCHD ambulance barn Purchase of two (2) new/remounted ambulance Money for dialysis patients Digital mammography machine Low dose upgrade for CT scanner Funds towards the MNRC (nursing home) renovation Funds for RN Scholarships Anesthesia Machines for Surgery
