Important Points We do not have access to existing student usernames and passwords. Tickets needed for students that forgot Placing tickets ONE TIME with accuracy is very important. Use Edge browser to place them. Reach out to TSS Area Supervisor for status. InTune for software downloads. Ticket needed if apps do not appear after 24 hour wait.
Important Points Staff with a Chromebook must connect to the Secure WiFi for Google Meet to function. Password must match the standards. Staff Password Support Staff device not reimaged? Place a ticket so an appointment can be made. Liaisons will NOT be imaging on their own at this time.
Important Points Please do NOT issue a Windows based device to paraeducators. The claims that Chromebooks will not work for Google Meet is FALSE. The Chromebook MUST be on the BCPS Secure Wi-Fi for Google Meet to work. The webcams built into the Chromebooks also work but please note that the external webcams, purchased for teaching staff, have NOT been tested with these devices. TSS still has a supply of student device bags in stock. After this supply is gone BCPS will no longer be issuing bags to students at any level. Schools may request bags for student devices by submitting a ticket. Please indicate in the ticket if these are bags to replace old/worn ones or for students that never had one. Old/worn device bags MUST be disposed of by T-Rec. They must not be thrown in the garbage per BCPS policy.

Device Inventory https://bcpstechnologyliaisons.pbworks.com/ Inventory is one of the most important parts of the Technology Liaison role. We must get a handle on our technology inventory. We will be flexible and supportive during the process. Use Edge for Checkouts
Teacher Devices Report Due April 22 to DestinyReports@bcps.org. What needs to be done: All staff must have their device checked OUT manually by scanning their OneCard and their device. In hand transfer should made if prompted to move device to current school container. Check the record for each teacher to see if they have multiple devices checked out. o We recommend that Liaisons/SBIT set up a station in a central location of the school. While wearing a mask, masked faculty will walk up and present their OneCard and device for no touch scanning. This could be done in the main office by a member of the SBIT. o Have a staff list printed that includes ALL staff assigned to the building. Highlight or check off each staff member as they complete this process to ensure that all staff are covered. Confirming Staff Re-circulation NOTE: Remember that ALL schools must do the recirculation work before the reports will be accurate.
Teacher Devices Report Due April 22 to DestinyReports@bcps.org. Staff teaching from home. Get a picture of the serials and CAREFULLY manually check it out. Check your inventory report BEFORE sending Save search settings for later use Don t do this until April 20 Check the results. Make fixes, run again Makes notes of issues Highlight lines with issues. (Add a column) Send to DestinyReports@bcps.org Look For: Due date should be 8/6/21 OR 5/28/21 Staff no longer in building (give building name if known) Staff with more than one device Staff with wrong device (para with Windows device) Staff with Dells
Port Replicators What needs to be done: Liaisons will need to visit each classroom to check the port replicator OUT to the room location in Destiny. After checking out the port replicator to the room look at the report to make sure that there is not another one already assigned. o If there is a port replicator already assigned, mark it lost. If/when that port replicator is scanned elsewhere it will be removed from the lost status. A report of this circulation is due April 29, 2021. Directions found on: Destiny Support
Student Devices Check out ALL Cohort A and B devices to students. Printing Patron Barcodes Elementary make sure to track the Windows device (Secure Storage) and Chromebook checked out to student. Cohort C leave alone. If you can get them to bring in device when otherwise coming to school do so. No report will be collected at this time. Deleting all bag checkouts from the system.
Missing Barcodes Use What to do if a device is missing the barcode sticker to find the serial number of the device. Place a ticket for a replacement sticker. Label the device with the missing barcode until new sticker is available.
Elementary Windows Swap Consider swapping cohort A and B Windows devices in the LMC Cohort C School must plan for families to come in to swap. Make sure that chargers are collected as well MAKE FINES for items not collected ALL transactions in Destiny Collected Windows machines checked OUT to 1 Secure Storage (2 Secure Storage .) Location(s) Check OUT Chromebook to patron. Destiny inventory MUST be on network. If Wi-Fi does not work in the outdoor swap location (bus loop etc.) then runners must bring the devices into the building lobby or other location where the circulating computer can be online. May want to utilize two devices, one for checking OUT returned Windows devices to 1 Secure Storage and the other for checking OUT Chromebooks to patrons.
