SAFETY DIRECTOR 101: REHIRING AND RETRAINING DRIVERS REHIRING PAPERWORK MVR MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE A NEW COPY OF THE MVR, IF THE DRIVER REMAINED ACTIVE BE SURE TO UPDATE THE ANNUAL REVIEW AND ANNOTATE IF IT WAS NOT DONE WITHIN THE 365 DAYS OF THE PREVIOUS REVIEW COPY OF LICENSE AND MEDICAL CARD - MANY OF THESE EXPIRED DURING THE DOWN TIME, REVIEW THE EXTENSION PERIODS AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE ALL CURRENTLY VALID BY DATE AS WELL AS PROVIDER, WILL YOU ACCEPT A PHYSICAL FROM AN OUTISDE SOURCE LAST 8 DAYS WORKED TO VALIDATE HOURS AVAIALBLE TO WORK FOR YOU IN THE FIRST 8 DAYS

THEN TREAT THEM AS A NEW HIRE IF THEY REMAINED IN THE POOL WERE THEY SELECTED FOR A RANDOM TEST? WERE THEY TESTED WITHIN THE SELECTION PERIOD ? DRUG AND ALCOHOL CLEARINGHOUSE LIMITED OR FULL QUERY

MAKE SURE YOU ANNOTATE ANY LOGS AND VALIDATE LAST DATES WORKED PRIOR TO AN AUDIT ADA COMPLIANCE REVIEW POLICIES AND PROCEDURES IN WORKING WITH PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES NEW COVID PROCEDURES TRAIN DRIVERS ON WHAT HAS CHANGED. CLEANING THE BUSES, NEW SHIELDS, PASSENGER COUNTS. POLICIES MAY CONTINUE TO CHANGE AS GUIDANCE UPDATES PRE TRIP AND POST TRIP INSPECTIONS HAS YOUR COMPANY CHANGED YOUR DVIR POLICY RELATING TO NOT REQUIRING A DVIR IF NO DEFECTS ARE FOUND? HAVE YOU IMPLEMENTED AN EDVIR ? HAS YOUR DVIR REPORTING TO THE SHOP CHANGED AS SHOPS MAY HAVE LESS TECHNICIANS.

BE SURE TO SHOW HOW TO PUMP A LIFT IN CASE OF FAILURE NEW ITEMS ON COACHES (BARRIERS AND SEATING ARRANGEMENTS) ROAD TEST JEFF ALL YOURS FROM HERE
