  14. Synopsis As a freshman at Lehigh University, it was hard learning how to register for classes especially since most of the University was remote because of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Learning how to work my way around registration and figuring out what classes I needed for my major was not a simple trip down my campus dorm anymore because of the pandemic. Instead, I simply had to figure out where and what required classes I needed in order to start my semester on track. As time went on, I figured out the different classes and college requirements I needed by using Lehigh s catalog website. Lehigh s website has all the basic information on what classes to take as either a first-year student under a specific college or a third-year biology major student. After learning how much information I found just by using Lehigh s website I started to wonder if maybe there were students who did not know about the information, they could easily find online through Lehigh s catalog website. I decided to make a presentation on the different curriculums and programs offered under the College of Arts and Science to try and inform other students that the College of Arts and Sciences offers different paths to success. For example, a student under the College of Arts and Sciences could either obtain their biology degree under the bachelor of arts or bachelor of science. The difference is the course requirements, for a bachelor s or arts student course requirements will focus on more of an arts emphasis but still require the student to fulfill basic major requirements like biology and chemistry classes. While a biology degree under a bachelor s of science would require a student to take more intense courses for their major like taking biology, chemistry and physics instead of just chemistry and biology. The bachelor of science degree would also focus less on the arts but still require the student to take a good amount of art related courses. I also created the presentation to explain the purpose behind a college based on arts and science. Students who are looking for a mix of both a science education and an arts education can fulfill their wishes at Lehigh University without having to sacrifice one for the other. Being a part of the college of Arts and Sciences also requires students to fulfil basic requirements like arts credits, natural science credits, math credits and English courses regardless of their intended major. I included information about the college of Arts and Sciences current dean to demonstrate how important it is to have a leader who recognizes the importance of both arts and science in order for the college to keep creating programs that suit students looking for an arts education and a science education
