About ONS Founded in 1975, ONS is the professional home to the frontline oncology nurse. More than 34,000 members across the world. ONS: Provides a professional community for oncology nurses Develops evidence-based education programs and treatment information Advocates for patient care Mission To advance excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care. ONCC Develops, administers, and evaluates programs for certification in oncology nursing. Oncology Nursing Foundation Through generous donor support, the ONS Foundation has provided more than $26 million in funding support through oncology nursing awards, grants, scholarships, and educational initiatives.
Benefits of Student Membership Free Membership! All full-time, pre-licensure students receive free 1-year membership. If still a student when time to renew, it is still free. Cancer Basics Free registration to our online, on-demand course. You will learn cancer biology, cancer treatment, management of cancer-related symptoms, and patient and family care. You will receive code for Cancer Basics in your Welcome Email after joining. Local Chapter Membership Opportunity to network and learn from local oncology nurses. Subscriptions Receive two acclaimed oncology nursing journals: Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing and Oncology Nursing Forum. Scholarships and Grants Scholarships available to individuals who are pursuing a bachelor s degree in nursing and do not currently hold an RN license.
