Pupil view Exam Careers Video Content Staff Unit Unit 1 1 - - Theory Theory Introduction to physical education - Written examination: Learners will be assessed through a range of short and extended questions. The questions will be based on audio-visual stimuli and other sources. 5 Units of Theory work: Health training and exercise 2. Physiology 3. Movement Analysis 4. Psychology of sport 5. Socio-cultural issues in sport 1.

Pupil view Exam Careers Video Content Staff Unit 2 Unit 2 - - Practical Practical The active participant in physical education - Non-exam assessment: Learners will be assessed in: Three different activities in the role of performer. At least one individual and one team sport and one other from the approved lists of activities. Coursework - A Personal Fitness Programme linked to the chosen major activity.

  4. Exam Assessment Criteria: Unit 1 - Written examination: 2 hours 50% of qualification 100 marks Unit 2 Non exam assessment: 50% of qualification 100 marks 3 X 28 Marks = Practical Activities + 16 Marks = Coursework - PFP

Finally, being given the opportunity to perform in a range of activities will enhance pupils appreciation of different sports.
