Log-in Directions Click on the following link to access LaunchPad https://launchpad.classlink.com/rcboe Students will use their log-in credentials Once logged into LaunchPad, Students will click on the app, titled Blended Learning (Student). Click on RCSS Grade 7 World Studies Distance Learning Modules and begin assignments. *For those that do not have a computer and internet at home, you can do this on a smartphone.*

  10. KHAN ACADEMY: Dos and Donts Do not recreate an account if you don t remember your login. Click forgot password link and follow the prompt. Do join your appropriate homeroom by using code on slide 7 (if you haven t already). Do watch each video in full. Khan Academy will not give credit if you skip within the video. Do click on the button at the bottom right when you finish watching a video/assignment. If you need further instructions, you may click the button instead.

  11. iReady: Math Got down time! Parents please encourage students to spend at least 15 to 30 minutes a day on i-Ready Math in an effort to assist with learning gaps and/or enrichment.

  13. Unit 5 Language of the Standards (Vocab) The language in which EOG is written. Box and Whisker Plot A graph that shows how data are distributed by using the median, quartiles, least value, and greatest value; also called a box plot. Frequency Table A table that lists items together according to the number of times, or frequency, that the items occur. Grouped Frequency Table A statistic method to organize and simplify a large set of data in to smaller "groups." Histogram A bar graph that shows the frequency of data within equal intervals. Interquartile Range - The difference between the upper and lower quartiles in a box-and-whisker plot. Maximum Value- The largest value in a data set. Mean- The sum of the items in a set of data divided by the number of items in the set; also called average. Measures of Center- A measure used to describe the middle of a data set; the mean, median, and mode are measures of central tendency

  14. Unit 5 Language of the Standards (Vocab) The language in which EOG is written. Measures of Spread- Used to describe the distribution of the data. Median - The middle number, or the mean (average) of the two middle numbers, in an ordered set of data Minimum Value The smallest value in a data set. Mode The number or numbers that occur most frequently in a set of data; when all numbers occur with the same frequency, we say there is no mode. Mutually Exclusive Two events are mutually exclusive if they cannot occur in the same trial of an experiment. Outlier- A value much greater or much less than the others in a data set. Range- The difference between the greatest and least values in a data set. Sample- A part of the population. Simple Random Sample- A subset of a statistical population in which each member of the subset has an equal probability of being chosen. An unbiased representation of a group.
