District Local Technical Assistance 2024 INTRODUCTION DLT A runs on a calendar year cycle January to December Eligible Projects fall in four primary categories set by the state: Housing Choice Initiative Community Compact Best Practice Planning Ahead for Housing Planning Ahead for Growth All communities are eligible to apply every year Project size and scope can vary significantly

District Local Technical Assistance 2024 INTRODUCTION $214,214 allocated in calendar year 2024 DLTA 2024 included projects that were part of a larger effort and standalone work product Much of the work is centered in Community Planning and Housing, but Environment and Energy, Economic Development, and GIS/Data were brought in on multiple efforts

District Local Technical Assistance 2024 PROJECT EXAMPLES OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION City of North Adams Assisted with wrap up activities and initial approval from state City of Pittsfield Initial community engagement as precursor to formal OSRP planning process Town of Cheshire Finalized Open Space and Recreation Plan Town of Clarksburg Kickoff of Open Space and Recreation Plan Town of Great Barrington Allocated matching funds to allow completion of larger OSRP Town of West Stockbridge Finalized Open Space and Recreation Plan Final Approval

  6. District Local Technical Assistance 2025 PROCESS $214,214 available in calendar year 2025. Application process opened in early December. Applications are due February 21, 2025. All communities are eligible to apply regardless of past awards.
