ADMINISTRATIVE UPDATES Aligning Title 14 Regulations with updated statute Title 14 California Code Regulations (CCR) 6565.5 was out of compliance with 79 Federal Register 56491, which addresses the federal life jacket type code, issued by USCG in 2014 The final Rulemaking Package was submitted to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) on May 5, 2025. Title 14 California code Regulations (CCR) 6570 6572, 6573 and definitions found at 6552 were out of compliance with Federal Regulations (CFR), which addresses the fire extinguishing equipment issued by USCG in Policy Letter issued 03 Jun 2020. The Rulemaking Package is currently under Division review and anticipated to be submitted to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) soon.
