Draft implementing act on Monthly Unemployment Rate (MUR) Item 3.4 of the draft agenda DSS Meeting 27 and 28 June 2019
Background 23-24 May 2019: first discussion by DSS 13-14 June 2019: discussion by LAMAS of open issues identified by the DSS 27-28 June 2019: discussion of the revised version of the MUR regulation taking account of the outcome of both meetings
Outcome of the DSS/LAMAS meetings of 23- 24/05/19 and 13-14/06/19 May DSS meeting: - Support to MUR implementing act - Review all references - Amend the definition of a reference month (Article 2) - Review transmission deadline for the reference month of November (Article 4) - Review type of data (NSA/SA/trend) for data transmission (Annexes I-III) and quality monitoring (Article 8 and Annex IV) June LAMAS meeting: - Mainly discussed and agreed the revised definition of a reference month
Changes implemented since the DSS meeting of May 2019 - All references updated - Article 4: transmission deadline for the reference month of November moved from 30 December to 31 December - Article 2: amended definition of a reference month Each week belonging to a reference quarter as defined in LFS IM is allocated to one and only one of the three months belonging to that quarter Weeks that belong in full to a calendar month is allocated to the corresponding reference month Weeks to cross over two calendar months are allocated to one of the two corresponding reference months
Changes implemented since the DSS meeting of May 2019 - Review type of data (NSA/SA/trend) for data transmission (Annexes I-III) and quality monitoring (Article 8 and Annex IV) Transmission of NSA/SA/trend in line with guidelines on SA data and to evaluate volatility of SA data Quality monitoring on headline indicator
