How to draw a family tree Teachers notes: 1. . A powerpoint is provided in the For schools section showing how to build the Beckhams family tree. 2. The database search on the website allows the collection of names, dates and relationships. These can be noted down before assembling into a tree. 3. There are varying degrees of complexity depending on the individual families concerned. A fairly simple tree can be drawn based on Liebe Schneider. 4. For increased levels of difficulty, Liebe s brother-in-law Nicholas and his family could be added. Extension: Can the different relationships be identified and named eg uncles, grandparents, cousins? Can they draw a family tree for an historic figure eg Henry VIII or Queen Victoria?
