Mandatory Forms (student will NOT be eligible to tryout without these) 1. Participation Form 2. Updated sports physical (these are good for 365 days from the date of the doctor s signature) 3. $5.00 school insurance - Student Insurance 4. Covid-19 waiver release form
Additional Requirements 1. 2.0 GPA for previous semester before play 2. Demonstrate Respect, Excellence, and Pride in classrooms and hallways daily

Dates 1. Forms must be submitted by December 16 2. January 5thTryouts start 3. January 18thRegular season begins (8-10 game season) 4. February 19thRegular season ends *Please remember that all these plans are TENTATIVE and can be affected by COVID incidents in our schools and Tampa Bay Area in general.
Practice Schedule 1.Girls 7:45 am 8:45 am 2.Boys 4:15 pm 5:30 pm
Practice 1. Arrive at the facility dressed and ready to practice 2. Online students must be picked up promptly at the end of practice. They are not allowed to walk the halls or hang around 3. Bring your own water bottles/containers, towels, etc. 4. Covid-19 screening will take place daily (see next slide) 5. All equipment used at practice will be disinfected daily 6. No spectators are allowed during practices
Travel 1. The county does not provide buses to away games and all schools rely on parent volunteers for transporting players to away game sites. 2. Upon completion of an away game, players are not provided a ride back to Dunedin Highland Middle School and it is the parents responsibility to pick up their child from the away site promptly upon completion of the event. 3. PCSB policy only requires coaches to remain at practice or the game site for no more than 30 minutes following completion of the event. 4. If your child will be traveling with another parent, a note must be provided to the school 24 hours in advance. 5. Players should ride with same group to and from game (unless being picked up by parent from game)
Travel continued 1. Because we depend on volunteers to drive, we are required to comply with county policies applicable to being with students when not in the presence of a school board employee. 2. All drivers must be Level II cleared by the county and fingerprints and a background check are required. 3. For information regarding Level II screening, please visit www.pcsb.org. 4. Also, the proper amount of insurance coverage on your vehicle and passengers is required. The volunteer and driving forms are located in the front office. Background checks and fingerprinting are completed by a third party and take approximately three weeks to complete. 5. Please contact Ms. Lawrence for more information LAWRENCER@pcsb.org
Masks 1. Athletes will be required to wear masks when not actively participating in a game or practice drill. 2. Masks must be worn when Entering gym for practice Not participating in practice drill On bench during game Before/After practice begins Traveling Masks will not be a requirement when athlete is playing in the game 3.
Fans 1. It is recommended spectators conduct symptom assessment on game day. 2. Anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home. 3. Social distancing should be maintained between individuals. 4. Fans must exit the facility following the match. No congregating before or after matches is permitted. 5. Face coverings will be mandatory except if a documented medical reason causes a health risk.
Covid-19 Response 1. All positive Covid cases including exposure of a player or coach to a Covid positive person should be immediately reported to the Director of Athletics who will act as a liaison with the Managing Officer for School Health Services and the Health Department. 2. The Health Department will provide direction concerning all processes to take in dealing with the reported case. 3. When a positive Covid case within the volleyball team is reported all practices and games should be postponed until direction is provided by the Health department.
Return to Play 1. Athletes with a confirmed infection and mild to moderate illness or asymptomatic are recommended to meet the following before being cleared to return: Be at least 10 days past the date of initial Covid-19 positive result if not symptomatic; or be 10 days past last symptoms and at least 72 hours since last fever without the use of fever reducing medicines. Be cleared to return after an evaluation or routine pre-participation exam, including a symptom screen. Undergo any other follow-up workup as indicated by a physician.
