  4. Depending on what you need to accomplish: EBAC staff can assist you, AND/OR Make you an appointment with a county worker, AND/OR Give you information on other local agencies that can help. Our office is located at the HUSD Parent Hub off Soto Road in room 11.

  7. What is CalFresh? CalFresh is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. Participants receive a card where money is deposited monthly to buy food. We understand that there are barriers and challenges due to legal status when it comes to applying to public benefit programs. We would be happy to discuss this with you in our office.

  8. CalFresh Eligibility If you are a California resident with low or no income, you may be eligible for CalFresh. This includes individuals in the following situations: Homeless individuals Students, in higher education, who meet eligibility requirements Individuals receiving SSI/SSP Most legal immigrants A CalFresh household includes anyone living together who regularly purchases and prepares meals together. The CalFresh benefit amount is dependent on household size, income, and expenses. Can also check on the CalFresh Website: https://www.getcalfresh.org/

  9. Community Food Resources We have information on different free food resources for the Hayward and surrounding areas. Come to our office for the information and we can help you find one that is close to your home.

  10. Family Navigation Program We understand that finding resources can be overwhelming, so we are here to assist you with on-going support if you are interested in our case management program. The Family Resource Specialist, Sandra, helps connect the participant with community resources and works on completing goals during 3 month period. We want to help your family succeed!
