Eco-Friendly Initiatives and Sustainability Updates in Plaza de Fundación
In Plaza de Fundación, various eco-friendly operations and maintenance activities are underway to manage water quality, including daily sampling for bacterial levels. Floating islands with wetland roots help remove unwanted nutrients from the water, acting as attractive habitats for birds and aquatic species. An Eco Counter is tracking pedestrian and bike counts, with plans to install another counter at the plaza. The city is also implementing measures to reduce the scooter fleet and providers to enhance sustainability on city trails.
