  1. Eco warriors

  2. Biodiversity Findings We have a natural area to work/play in Actions To make this better we could record the wildlife in the school ground and have a pet Our school encourages wildlife in the Forest School area as we have created a Bug hotel and Hedgehog house. We have plants in beds and pots around school/Forest School area The Eco Warriors have planted 2 Trees for the Queens Canopy a Oak and Chestnut tree.

  3. Energy Findings Not all computers/lights are turned off when not in use. Actions The Eco Warriors would like to read the schools energy meter so we could monitor this The Eco Warriors would like to create a light poster to encourage students and Teachers to turn the lights off Windows are closed and heating off overnight, as well as blinds/curtains closed

  4. Global citizenship Findings We learn about other countries in school We learn a foreign language at school Actions Not all classes listen to Newsround every day, we feel that it would be good to be aware of the News happening around the world.

  5. Healthy living: Findings Pupils take part in daily exercise Drinking water is available in each class Healthy options are encouraged at school dinners and break times Our classes talk about mental health and well being We grow our own fruit and vegetables as we have just planted some potatoes and herbs in the Forest School area Actions None

  6. Litter: Findings Everyone knows the locations of the bins around the playground Actions The Eco Warriors feel that they would like another bin at the top of the playground and another one at the bottom The Eco Warriors would like to encourage classes to do litter picks regularly. The Eco Warriors would like an outside recycling bin

  7. School Grounds Findings We have regular lessons outside for PE and Forest School We play outside everyday! Actions The Eco Warriors would like the basket ball hoops to be put back up as someone broke them The Eco Warriors would like the long jump to be used more often KS2 why can we not use the climbing frame?

  8. Transport Findings The school trains us on how to use our bikes and scooters safely The school encourages sustainable travel Actions We would like an under cover bike shed for KS2 as currently put behind the Yr4 classroom The Eco warriors would like to see the schools travel plan A big discussion happened with the Eco Warriors around crossings, the children think that it is dangerous to cross outside the school without a zebra crossing or lollipop lady. The cars on the road can be very fast and it is scary.

  9. Waste Findings Each classroom has a recycling bin Actions Teachers use a lot of printed sheets, which can be wasteful We would like to use the compost bin that we have put in the Forest School area, we have designed a poster We would like to encourage refuse, reduce, reuse, repair and recycle more

  10. Water Findings At school we learn how to save water We all have reusable water bottles At school we learn about issues in other countries struggling with clean water Actions The Eco Warriors would like to have access to the schools water meter to monitor Once the shed is up in the Forest School, we can use the rain butt to water the surrounding plants
