Our Extensive Experience Ecoocean initiated and took an active role in: Horizon 2020 Projects TASCMAR and ODYSSEA Operation of The Blue Flag program in Israel International marine sciences workshops in Mata and Italy. In these successful projects Ecoocean greatly contributed with its science-based, environmental and educational approach Who we are NGO dedicated to the protection of the marine environment Our Mission - to empower people to care for the marine and coastal environment of Israel and the region and to bring ocean recovery Our strategy includes support for research, education & community engagement Our Expertise Facilitation of marine environmental research using the R/V Mediterranean Explorer, our state-of-the-art research vessel, ROV and oceanographic research equipment Marine environmental educational center and programs Citizens science programs Behavioral change activities, including national and local campaigns focusing on climate change and the marine environment We have diverse networks in Israel and other countries throughout the Mediterranean including: Academia, schools, local municipalities, government, NGOs and communities
