Effect of 4-Stab Training with Interval Method on Fencing Performance
Explore the impact of 4-stab training utilizing the interval method on accuracy and speed of stabbing with degen weapons at Pakansari Fencing Club. The study aims to enhance fencing athletes' performance by improving their stabbing techniques through targeted training methods. Investigate the effectiveness of interval training in enhancing accuracy and speed of stabs on degen weapons to optimize performance in fencing competitions.

THE EFFECT OF 4 STAB TRAINING USING THE INTERVAL TRAINING METHOD ON THE ACCURACY AND SPEED OF STABBING ON DEGEN WEAPONS AT PAKANSARI FENCING CLUB. Falikhin Hakiki UNIVERSITAS PENDIDIKAN INDONESIA
INTRODUCTION Fencing athletes who use degen weapons are often According to (Yanto, 2013) Because degen weapons are a type of weapon that stabs targets all over the body (head, body, arms, and legs), the accuracy and speed of the stab is very important to receive points. inaccurate when stabbing the opponent's body. According to (Hardinata & Hidayah, 2015) This can be caused by the lack of training provided by the coach, the athlete's lack of seriousness in performing the stab technique precisely and The training method given at the time of this study, namely the interval training method. (Gibala, 2021) Interval training refers to an intermittent training style, in which more intense efforts are interspersed with recovery periods in certain training sessions. quickly, or the lack of special technical training in performing the stab given by the coach. According to (Rasyono & Decheline, 2019) The most basic technique that fencers must master is the stab.
PROBLEM FORMULATION RESEARCH OBJECTIVES To find out if there is an effect of 4 stab training using the interval training method on the accuracy of stabbing on degen weapons at Pakansari Fencing Club? Is there an effect of 4-stick parry training using the interval training method on the accuracy of stabbing on the degen weapon at Pakansari Fencing Club? Is there an effect of 4-stick parry training using the interval training method on stab speed on the degen weapon at Pakansari Fencing Club? To find out if there is an effect of 4-stick parry training using the interval training method on the speed of stabbing on the degen weapon at Pakansari Fencing Club?
Fencing (Tsolakis & Vagenas, 2010) The sport of fencing is also a combination of movement skills, art, and culture using a sword that emphasizes the ability to use hand agility to cut, stab, and parry an opponent's weapon using a combination of eye, hand, and foot work. Techniques in Fencing (Cheris, 2002) In the sport of fencing, basic techniques include forward steps, backward steps, backward jumps, strikes/stabs, and parries. Physiological Demands in Fencing (Wylde et al., 2013) In the poul round, which requires 5 points to win the match, there is more moderate intensity footwork. However, in elimination rounds, which require 15 points and are team, there are more high-intensity movements and explosive movements. LITERATUR REVIEW Accuracy (Buya et al., 2020) Accuracy is a person's drive to achieve goals with specific goals and intentions. Speed (Ali et al., 2022) Speed is the ability to move positions quickly and serves to produce a variety of good and accurate techniques, and being able to move quickly is very important in maintaining distance when attacked or attacking. Interval Training (Bompa & Buzzichelli, 2019) Interval training is repetitive exercise performed repeatedly over short to long periods of time.
