ISPESH 2023 Honey has been identified as a natural source of vitamins and carbohydrates that can enhance the performance of futsal athletes. Consumption of honey at 1.5 g/kg body weight per day can help maintain muscle glycogen, increase strength, and prevent premature fatigue. The rich content of honey in carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamins, and minerals is very beneficial for the health and physical strength of athletes. Super propolis honey, in particular, contains high levels of diastase enzymes and reducing sugars, and is free from harmful contaminants. ISPESH 2023 This study used an experimental method with a Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group design. From a population of 35 futsal extracurricular students of SMPN 66 Bandung, 20 students were selected as samples using simple random sampling technique and divided into two groups: experimental and control, 10 students each. The consumed 70g of honey mixed with 250mL of water 90 minutes before training for 16 weeks. ISPESH 2023 A 6-week study on 20 futsal extracurricular students of SMPN 66 Bandung showed a significant effect of honey on lactic acid reduction. The pre-test data showed an average of 11.060, while the post-test was 13.880 (both with significant difference of 2.820 (t-count 2.574 > t-table 2.100). Honey was shown to be beneficial as an antioxidant, maintain muscle glycogen, and increase stamina.
