  3. LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the end of the presentation, learners will: List the learning objectives Describe targeted audience

  4. WHAT & WHY Define handwashing. Briefly explain why handwashing is important in disease prevention: Include description of related diseases/health conditions (signs and symptoms) and the disease transmission process.

  5. HOW & WHEN Demonstrate the skills involved in handwashing. Demonstrate step by step by using: Video, student demonstrations and return demonstration by participants

  6. REFERENCES Include selective references to support your pitch list. Appropriately format the list as per college/school formatting style (e.g., APA style)

  7. Q & A SESSION Include a question-and-answer session. Thank the participants (i.e., invited key stakeholders).

  8. EVALUATION Example Administer a survey to assess the effectiveness of the health teaching session.

  9. GENERAL RECOMMENDATION Include picture(s) throughout the slides. Include supportive data throughout the slides (if available). Include more slides as needed to cover key content. Each student should engage in the health teaching activity.
