  3. Overview Note: BUSE does not have infrastructure for a research data repository. Researchers should therefore outsource. Outsourcing is not new at BUSE; for instance, the following are outsourced: Online journal systems Off-site back up service

  4. Research data repositories - types Research data repositories maybe categorized by scope. There are: Specialist repositories e.g. Image Data Resource, ClinicalTrials.gov & EarthChem. Generalist repositories e.g. Mendeley Data, Figshare & Zenodo. Repositories can also be classified as Free e.g. Science Data Bank, Open Science Framework & Figshare (though additional files attract a cost) Commercial e.g. Dryad Digital Repository,.

  5. Recommended repositories A number of tools could be used to identify the most ideal research data repositories. Below are some examples you can consult.
