Coming up Year 12 Parents Evening 5thDecember, booking opens on Thursday 28th Year 12 Progress Exams 7thto the 17thof January Home Study- Most students will be granted this next term Those with RIs will not be granted home study Those with a commendation letter will be granted home study from the 9thof December

  3. Challenge: what do you remember from Mrs Brooks assembly? What were the main points made? What are the two main steps to revision? What were some specific techniques suggested? What was the name of the diagram that showed how quickly information is forgotten? Have you already applied anything from this assembly in your work?

  7. Revision should be strategic Use your teachers feedback Focus on the areas you find difficult Ask teachers, attend drop-in and support sessions Focus on exam skills and make good use of past paper questions

  8. Revision should be purposeful Set yourself a clear goal for the session, e.g. learn key information from a sub-unit Decide how you will test if you have achieved this, e.g. complete and mark past paper questions

  9. Revision should be self- directed Make a plan based on how much you need to cover Allocate an independent/supervised to revising each subject You need to take charge of learning the content- beyond what s set on Bromcom

  12. Attendance notices You now need to sign out on the document outside Mrs Price s office for school-related activities Please still fob out as normal as well. If you don t want to write the reason, you must either sign out with Mrs Price or Mrs Attwood in person, or you must sign out with reception. - You do not need to do this after p4 if you have home study (you can just fob out as normal then) or at the end of the day.
