I: THE TASK The Job, Task, Issue, Etc. What is! What could be What do you want to accomplish?
II: THE BIG PICTURE Define the result Build the team structure Assign team duties Set an End date
III: THE MEETING Time to bring all to one table Set goals and limits Provide the tools and support Allow for creativity Promote THEIR ownership
WHAT IS A GOOD MEETING? Set date/time in advance Set time limit Shorter is better Have a meeting format Define team member roles Allow discussion/input/questions Make purpose clear
KEY ROLES IN THE MEETING Facilitator keeps the structure Facilitator may not be the meeting leader Have a note taker Keeping them all moving forward Document everything!
FORMATS Retrospective portion of meeting Look back and evaluate What did we learn? What will we change? Exercise the Learning Muscle by asking/evaluating/thinking
HOW DO WE IMPROVE MEETINGS? Don t have one for a week or 2 Continue to collaborate/talk Nothing planned Improves self-motivation and spontaneous thought and action Rebuild the Rhythm!
IV: TEAM LEADING ADVICE Lead with vision AND interpretation Your ideas combines with theirs Listen and Reflect Provide the tools and support Allow for creativity Promote Their ownership
