Advanced Placement Exam Information
Two Steps to Register for AP Exams Step 1: Use your teacher s Join Code to join the class in My AP This notifies College Board that you are in an AP class and they will order you an exam Step 2: Pay for your exam in Total Registration Ordering your exam in College Board is not enough: you must PAY for it using Total Registration
Step 1: My AP Must join on My AP and register with teacher provided join codes. https://myap.collegeboard.org/login My AP offers many resources that you can use to help you prepare for the AP exam with your teacher and it's FREE! Make sure your name is your full and legal first and last name (no nicknames). Colleges may not be able to locate your scores if your name is different than your full name.
Step 2: Total Registration Starting October 1st, log on to Total Registration to pay for your exam Total Registration will close on November 15th https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/053004 Type On-Time Order Description Exam PAID by November 8th Exam PAID November 9th 14th After November 14th Cost Per Exam $100 per exam (min $40 deposit) $100 + $10 fee per exam Late Fee Extra Late Fee Must contact Ms. Arizola to access $100 + $40 fee per exam Partial payments will be accepted on TR: minimum $40 per exam, $2.25 fee for each partial payment made Once a minimum $40 deposit is made before November 8th, you will have until March 8th to complete payment
AP Fee Waivers Students must participate in the 2021-2022 Free/Reduced Lunch Program to qualify Families need to renew their application every year; the applications do not roll over Exam price is $5 per exam and must be paid in Total Registration by November 8th to avoid late fee Exams ordered between November 9th November 14th will include a $10 late fee Apply for Free/Reduced lunch at https://fma.murrieta.k12.ca.us/ or district home page or www.vmhs.net
AP Exam Test Fees A $40 per-test fee will be applied to the following: Late test orders exams ordered November 14th or later Total Registration will close November 15th, so if you need to make a late test order, you will need to contact Ms. Arizola at garizola@murrieta.k12.ca.us Unused/cancelled exams exams not taken by student or cancelled This was not implemented last year so please take note
Dont Want to take an AP exam? Remember, taking the exam is what can get you college credit. If you do not take the AP exam, you will not be eligible for college credit If you do NOT want to take an AP exam, you MUST opt out Email Ms. Arizola if you do not want to take an AP exam If you do not opt out of taking the exam, you will be charged $40 for an unused exam
