In Glendale, the Village Council held a public hearing on 06/19/17 to address the issue of train horns disrupting the community. Over the past 13 months, residents have organized and researched solutions, leading to a proposal outlining responsibilities and costs to establish a Quiet Zone. The community's efforts involved engaging state officials, forming study groups, and gathering support through events like the street fair. The proposed solutions involve relocating crossings, adding safety equipment, and dividing costs between stakeholders.
