  2. THE EHC PLAYER PATHWAY FOR OUR SENIOR HOCKEY PLAYERS in SEASON 24/25? National League and East Focus on Performance and Growth Support and Develop SH/Brave Performance Pathway players L1 aim for top 6 in National League with eye on top 3 or promotion in 25/26 M1 aim for promotion from East 2 L1 M1 East Prem Focus on developing and supporting Pathway Players while offering players competitive playing opportunities L2 aim for top 3 finish L3 focus is to grow, develop and retain young players and support L2 team L2 L3 East 3 & 4 Div Encourage participation and development of committed and enthusiastic players Offering a good level of competition to facilitate inclusion and participation Retain and grow player base L4 & L5 L4 & L5 M2 M2

  3. What are our COACHING Focus Principles and Areas for SENIOR HOCKEY at EHC? POSITIVE engagement and CONSTRUCTIVE feedback Facilitation of PLAYER-LED Decision-Making on the pitch Develop and Encourage EXCELLENCE Promote Aim to STRETCH and SUPPORT players at the right pace in all teams ACCOUNTABILITY and RESPONSIBILITY on and off the pitch

Team selection process (Team of We rather than Me ) Each team will have a LEADERSHIP GROUP consisting of the Coach, Captain, Vice Captain and Team Manager and agree roles and responsibilities to share work load Leadership Group is responsible for selection and Pitchero publication of weekly teams, in collaboration with the Leadership reps of other teams above/below Women s Teams 1-3 and M1s will be selected and published by Tuesday night 10pm Selection cascades downwards from L1 and M1 teams Women s Teams 4-5 and M2s will be selected and published by Wednesday night 10pm Teams will be selected on merit with the following considerations taken into account: Ability to commit to fixtures schedule within the leagues Commitment and availability for training and fixtures Positive attitude towards training, fellow team mates and coaching Regular consultations amongst coaches to discuss movement between the teams based on performance, attendance and attitude All decisions made should be communicated to the player/s involved to ensure transparency and good practice

  5. Playing Kit: Pride in the Badge All players in Senior leagues are expected to have allocated playing numbers on their shirts.   6. Game Day & Training kit Responsibility and Accountability GAME DAY Each team has been allocated 20 match day warm-up balls and PCD Masks. Teams must keep these and not leave in storeroom (to be returned at end of season) Leadership group must ensure pick up and return of First Aid kit before away/home games. Match Report Forms (HOME GAMES): ensure opposition has completed, scores correct & umpire signed before sending a picture to EAST DISTRICT (email address on MRF) and EHC FIXTURES Rep . Players welcome to use Canalside Caf for post game drinks with opposition and umpires TRAINING HABITS Pitch is shared by 2 teams at all training sessions Each half of the pitch is allocated a bag of 50 balls (colour-coded in separate, marked bags). Please count and return balls, in correct bag, neatly back in storeroom cupboard after use. Cones are all in Aratac bag, flat markers in blue draw string bag, mini goals, rebound nets etc available for all teams to use. Please return neatly after use Bibs are in draw string bags, labelled as SENIOR, U14 or JUNIOR please take CORRECT bibs. If bibs get wet during training, please take home to wash/dry and return at earliest convenience. Don t forget a First Aid Kit out at all training and replace used ICE PACKS (red box in storeroom)

  7. Frequently Asked Questions Can I play indoor hockey and outdoor senior hockey? For sure, the seasons do overlap but we will work together to ensure you can do as much hockey as you like. *There is a separate Indoor Hockey Membership fee. Will there be promotion and relegation of players between teams during the season? Pitchero IS your friend ABSOLUTELY all coaches and Team Leaders will meet regularly to discuss their teams progress and whether players have developed and should have a run in a higher team. Will it affect my selection if I do not attend training regularly or am not available to play games regularly? Possibly especially if there are other players who do train or are available for games more often. Would only be fair, right? But we do understand that sometimes family/school/life can be crazy and we are always happy to talk about it When does Indoor Hockey take place? East League: Wednesday evenings at Jack Kane (Oct-Feb/Mar) National League: Sundays (Nov-Feb) Training: Seniors - Tuesday evenings Training: Youth Wednesday evenings You get out what you put in

  8. Frequently Asked Questions I think I would like to have a go at umpiring but I am a bit nervous on how to learn We are always looking players who are keen to learn how to umpire. We offer an informal rules discussion session to cover the basic rules We also connect with East District to offer Theory & Practical Sessions Drop Janice or Lil a message to set up a chat I think I would like to coach in U10, U12 and I think I would like to coach in U10, U12 and U14 Hockey Sections. Can I? U14 Hockey Sections. Can I? We would LOVE Youth Coaching Team, especially if you have a child who is playing in those sessions and would like to contribute to the club programme. Pitchero IS your friend LOVE to have players of all ages join our You don t have to have professional experience, you can simply be there to help the coaches out as a manager on game day or to help with crowd control. We offer a Leadership Coaching early in the season (Aug/Sept) and continue to support those coaches who wish to develop throughout the season.   9. Frequently Asked Questions PITCHERO IS YOUR FRIEND! Can I play Senior Hockey and U16 Hockey? Yes and we will help you find balance between brave, east, school, club youth and senior hockey. All you have to do is ask us for help! How do I know when practices take place? LADIES 1S: Tues 8-9:30pm & Thurs 7-9pm LADIES 2s & 3s: Mondays 7:15-9pm LADIES 4s & 5s: Wednesdays 7:30-9pm MENS 1s: Tues 8-9:30 & Thurs 8-9pm MENS 2s: Thurs 7:00-9pm You should get notifications of your training sessions on the PITCHERO CLUB APP. You are expected to mark your availability for each practice and game. If you are not getting notifications or are still unsure, ASK the ADMIN, a coach or anyone on the Committee PITCHERO IS YOUR FRIEND!
