Ephesians 4:1-6 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. . .
Ephesians 4:1-6 . . . There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (NKJV).
Ephesians 4:1-6 . . . Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. . . (v. 3) Endeavoring (NKJV); Being diligent (NASB); Make every effort (NIV) 1) to hasten, make haste; 2) to exert one's self, endeavour, give diligence (Thayer)
Ephesians 4:1-6 Jesus prayed for unity (John 17:20-23) Paul commanded it (1 Cor. 1:10) Do you endeavor for it? Hasten to make it so? Make every effort to attain it? Do you love unity?
Loving Unity Does not Mean Unity in Word and not Practice (1 Cor. 4:15-17; 2 Thess. 2:15)
Loving Unity Does Not Seek Always to Do Something New (Acts 17:21; Jude 3)
Loving Unity Recognizes Unity Rests in Being Content to Do Want We Find in the New Testament (Jer. 6:16; 1 Tim. 3:14-15; Eph. 3:1-5)
Loving Unity Does not Value My Opinions to the Point It Causes Division over Matters of Faith (Jude 3; Rom. 10:17)
Loving Unity Does not Exalt My Liberties over My Bond with Other Christians (Rom. 14:13-23)
