Category B - Emergency Protective Measures Emergency Protective Measures are actions taken by a community before, during, and following a disaster to save lives, protect public health and safety, or eliminate immediate threat of significant damage to improved public and private property through cost effective measures.

  3. Category B - Emergency Protective Measures Eligible Entities Include: State Agencies and Authorities Special district or regional authorities Private Non-Profit that provide Local Governments services of a governmental nature Indian Tribes or Tribal Organizations Houses of Worship Electrical co-ops School districts For the full list of Eligible Entities, please reference the PAPPG.

  4. Category B - Emergency Protective Measures Eligible Activities Include: Transporting and pre-positioning equipment and other resources for response Evacuation and sheltering EOC-related costs Emergency access Supplies and commodities Medical care and transport Security, such as barricades, fencing, or law enforcement Use or lease of temporary generators for facilities that provide essential community services Public information For the full list of Eligible Category B activities, please reference the PAPPG.
