  3. What is an emergency? Life-threatening medical conditions (e.g., heart attacks, severe injuries). Serious crimes in progress (e.g., assault, robbery). Fires in buildings, vehicles, or outdoors. An emergency is any situation that puts lives, property, or the environment at immediate risk and needs urgent help from emergency services. Road accidents with serious injuries. Someone in danger near water (e.g., at sea, on a river).

  5. What is a police emergency? When someone is in danger from: Assault Burglary Violence Other immediate threat to life.
