Emerging Agency Partner Overview Mobile Pantry Progressive Program
What is Emerging Agency Partner (MPT3)? After completing the Progressive Partner stage, Partners will have mastered how to independently facilitate their distributions. Emerging Partners will focus on becoming a long-term hunger solution for their community by becoming an NTFB Agency Partner. Barriers will be identified by Partners and their Mobile Pantry Coordinator. (Barriers are anything that might hinder a site from progressing to Agency Partner.) Partners will be introduced to their future Community Partner Specialist and collaborate with them on how to overcome barriers.
Community Partner Specialists Emerging Partners will be introduced to their Community Partner Specialist (CPR Rep). CPR Specialists work with Agency Partners to provide support, communication, and opportunities just as the Mobile Pantry Coordinators do with Progressive Partners. CPR Specialists are subject matter experts of their counties and facilitate community connections. 3 ID# 814041 Ver# 2
Examples of Barriers from Becoming a Partner Transportation Storage Shelving While virtually any space can be a pantry space, shelving is required. Food safety must be taken into consideration, and all food must be stored 6 inches above the ground. Shelving can be anything from open shelving to cabinets in a kitchen. Refrigeration & Freezer Storage When Partners become an official Agency, they will be responsible for picking up food at either a redistribution center or directly from NTFB's Perot Family Campus in Plano. Direct delivery may be available for Transformational Partners (Must be distributing 500,000lbs of food per year) A truck or trailer may be necessary for pick up. Renting trucks and trailers is a great option! 4 ID# 814041 Ver# 2

How to Overcome Barriers NTFB Grant Opportunities If Partners are interested in grants, we encourage them to express their interest to their MPC who can submit a formal referral to NTFB's Grant Coordinator. There is no request too big or small! Partners must become a Agency Partner and will be given specific growth requirements if they receive a grant from NTFB. NTFB's Network Engagement Services Our services are geared towards staff in executive leadership, fundraising, marketing, advocacy, and volunteer management roles but anyone can participate! NTFB will enhance collaboration, learning, and growth among partners through trainings, resources, in-person and virtual discussions, and toolkits/newsletters that will be shared via email and on our digital learning platform, Agency University. 6 ID# 814041 Ver# 2

USDA Food and Intake When Emerging Partners become a Agency Partner, they are highly encouraged to serve USDA food. Access to USDA food creates access to a wider variety of food options that they may not have had during the Progressive Program. The intake is a bit more in-depth, but only needs to be filled out once a year per family. 9 ID# 814041 Ver# 2
Connection Opportunities Agency Connection Hour Once a month, established Agency Partners meet with NTFB to talk all things food bank. We encourage all Emerging Partners to attend this Zoom call to get a better understanding of what it means to be a Agency Partner. The Mobile Pantry team will send you an invite the week before the event. Community Connections Community Connections are facilitated by the CPR Specialist. This is an opportunity to build relationships and discuss creative solutions for the needs in your local community. 10 ID# 814041 Ver# 2
