  1. Introduction : TAREA TAREA is a mobile app where we make it easy for job seekers to search and apply for jobs via mobile phones nearest to them. It is integrated with digital maps that will allow the job seeker o search and apply for jobs nearest to them, at their convenience.

Lack of control on the number of CVs that a hiring company gets at any one time No historical analysis to job seekers that show which kind of jobs they have applied for and from which parts of a given region Reduce the amount of time taken to apply for a job Provide feedback on whether a job seeker's CV has been reviewed or not. i.e. if their CV has been read, approved or found not meeting set guidelines. Traditional job portals are yet to be intuitive to cater for low- resourced job seekers. Most graduates leaving universities do not the resources to travel back and forth searching for jobs and even, they have got no way of knowing the status of their application Cost: TAREA as a platform is an affordable option compared to any job agencies that a company ties up with and hence is a common choice that many companies are taking up. Ease of Access: Internet access is a guaranteed 24hr service , hence be it day or night one can access our TAREA portals anytime in the day to look after their requirements and ensuring a closure on your job posting or a job search Ease of use: All a person has to do is login with his or her credentials, Search, view the job location, the requirements and click on apply if they are interested.

  3. Technological underlying concept How TAREA works: First, a job seeker lets TAREA know that they are looking for a job. Then, TAREA allows you to enter a keyword referencing the job in question, e.g. an accountant. You click on search. Next, TAREA finds all nearby accountant jobs, relative to your current location It also gives you a count e.g. 20 accountant positions. You select the most nearest to you. It gives you counter to time you. You apply and post your resume, for free and its done. You then get notifications on the status of your job application

Technological underlying concept Geolocation Using Geolocation Technology, it has become much easier to get information about the specifics of location features. 1) Identifying a device s location We started using Geolocation for the Android version of the TAREA app. It was developed using Google s Location APIs since they can intelligently manage underlying location technology implementing location-based features. 2) Providing driving directions To give the job applicant easiest route to the physical office location that has the vacancy we used Android routes and directions, which are made possible by the Google Maps Android API. 3) Integrating with mapping software We have used Google maps, as it provided an easier entry point for out platform 4) Push Notifications and SMS Once resume has been received, the applicant is notified on the status of their application. When the CV has been reviewed and comments added to the point, where they are called for an interview 5) Payment integration Current analysis is to use the ubiquitous MPESA service to remove any human-to-human cash transfers from the equation. Payment or fees will only be charged on premium items such as when applicant wants to load a video resume or when a company that is posting a job wants to use the space to advertise their products and services

Allowing blogs and tech websites to review the mobile app and offer ratings Mobile Web version- creation of a mobile compatible web version of the application will offer the services beyond the app stores TV Ads- Where the costs are low and the finance is available, TV ads can be offered at off peak periods, where the billing can be done on the positive loop back SMSs, from manufacturers. Word of Mouth (Viral loops)-where consumers who are aware of the app, share with their friends
