BUILDING LOCAL ECONOMIES & PROSPERITY Our Mission: To help people in our communities build sustainable small businesses. To improve circumstances for themselves, their families and communities. CENTER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP October 15, 2022
How would you like to have local business leaders express to your club statements like these? "Wow! From the slides to the books- everything was very helpful. And the benefit of having additional, ongoing training that Rotary arranged for us is very much appreciated. Learning along the way, but also having additional supporting video materials after class is great!" "Having identified my strengths and weaknesses gives me clear focus on what I need to work on. I feel very well supported and ready to begin tackling these areas. With (Notre Dame's) 80 Action Steps and (the book) Jump, I feel like I have a roadmap to follow. With the additional online learning opportunities we received I know I am starting leaps and bounds ahead of where most entrepreneurs begin." "I will absolutely recommend this program to anyone looking to start a business or improve their current business. This program is extremely well thought out and the pacing is excellent." "To be honest this class was phenomenal. I learned so much, gained confidence, and was sad when it ended. I will use all of the literature provided and knowledge received to hopefully provide you with one of the many success stories from our class. I really appreciate the opportunity to attend."
How would you like to have local business leaders express to your club statements like these? "I will be forever grateful for this experience, as it has changed my life and future. With the knowledge, tools, and resources gained, I will be able to open my business and serve in my community. Many, many thanks for everything!" I can't express how thankful I am for having this experience. It's a wonderful opportunity for so many to learn and share. I believe it will help our community grow stronger. Thank you." Out of the numerous projects that your club is now doing, how many do you have that your local residents talk to others like this?
PEACE PLUS MENTAL HEALTH ARE DIFFICULT TO BUILD IF YOU ARE CONSTANTLY STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE The phrase "teach a person to fish" is part of an ancient proverb that goes, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". The proverb's origin is unknown, but it's widely recognized and its message is relevant today.
TEACH A PERSON TO FISH BUILDS HOPE The proverb conveys the idea that it's more beneficial to teach people how to do things for themselves than to do them for them repeatedly. It can also be interpreted as a way to build confidence and independence in people, which can lead to more efficient operations, collaborations, understanding, communications, and peace.
