  1. What is the Cuimsi Programme? Cuimsi (kwim-shoo) means inclusion. The Cuimsi Programme is an initiative set up by FIT to support neurodivergent and disabled people on a path to tech employment that works for them. The programme is funded by Pobal under the WorkAbility: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme.

  2. Objectives Increase in the range and diversity of employers employing people with disabilities Increasing networking and access to employers for participants. Increased employment rates for Neurodivergent and Disabled tech enthusiasts. Enhanced job readiness for participants.

  3. Who is Cuimsi for? Neurodivergent and Disabled people (no formal diagnosis needed). People aged 16+ who are unemployed, studying, or working. Employers interested in inclusive hiring and workplace practices.

  4. What we do CV and Interview Preparation. We support participants in building tech skills and employer networking. Soft Skills, self advocacy, career options and leaders in industry. We offer online and in-person training as well as access to FIT's online learning platforms. 1:1 support with Employability Mentors. We work with employers to support the creation of inclusive workplaces We provide access to assistive technology.

  5. Programme Structure Programme recruitment begins in February 2025, rolling intake on case-by- case basis. Not a 9-5 classroom-based programme Online and in person training events throughout the year with regular meetings with mentors to advance your goals. Programme launch on 13th March. Programme ends in November 2025, with access to mentors for next 6 months Personalised experience flexible and tailored towards your goals.

  6. Training Schedule July Assistive Technology for the Workplace March/April Mental Health and Wellbeing, Mentorship. August Online Self - Directed Modules April Career Options: Apprenticeships, Leaders in Industry and Self Employment. September Tech Tasters/Hackathon October Self Advocacy: Reasonable accommodations, disclosure and supports May Assistive Technology and CVs June Interview Prep and Soft Skills November Transitioning to the workplace & Employer Networking

A suite of online and in person training rolled out year-round to support their own efforts in creating inclusive workplaces Access to resources and support from the Cuimsi Team Opportunities to meet and network with candidates.
