  3. Your submission REA RIBOLLA IS AN INVESTIGATIVE LESOTHO TELEVISION PROGRAMME AIMED AT CONSCIENTIZING THE COMMUNITY OF ISSUES PERTAINING TO THEIR ENVIRONMENT. SYNOPSIS: THIS PARTICULAR PROGRAM, THEREFORE FOCUSES ON SENSITISING THE COMMUNITY AND TO A LARGER EXTEND, THE NATION AT LARGE, ABOUT DOUBLE ORPHANS WHOSE PROPERTY IS TAKEN BY STEP MOTHERS AND LEAVE THE ORPHANS EMPTY HANDED. IT ALSO HIGHLIGHTS SOME VARIOUS INSTITUTIONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST ORPHANS. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

  4. HOW DOES YOUR SUBMISSION CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS ACHIEVING THE 28 TARGETS OF THE SADC GENDER PROTOCOL? PROTOCOL TARGET : ARTICLE 8 (a), (b) and ARTICLE 11 (C). State parties shall enact and adopt appropriate legislative to see to it that where spouses separate the best interest of the children are paramount and that they have equitable share of property. The purpose of the program is to sensitise members of the community of the orphans property rights in terms of inheritance. Once the community is aware of the rights that orphans have, unnecessary family conflicts that we are having now will be resolved. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

  5. Background THERE IS A GREAT PROBLEM OF ORPHANS BEING DENIED THEIR PROPERTY RIGHTS. THE PRACTICE OF RELATIVES DENYING ORPHANS THEIR PROPERTY RIGHTS SEEMS TO BE INTENSIFYING IN THE COUNTRY SUCH THAT SOME FAMILIES CONSIDER IT NORMAL. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

  6. Objectives Photo OBJECTIVE: TO MAKE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AWARE THAT ORPHANS; LIKE ANY OTHER PERSON; HAVE PROPERTY RIGHTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR AGE . GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

  7. Target and Impact Target: VICTIMS OF INHERITANCE RIGHTS,LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, ACTIVISTS AND THE COMMUNITY. Impact: THE POLICE AND THE OFFICE OF THE MASTER OF THE HIGH COURT ATTENDED TO THE MATTER TO SEE TO IT THAT THE VICTIM S PROPERTY IS REPOSSESSED. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

  8. Process I CONSULTED VARIOUS NGO s DEALING WITH ORPHANS PROPERTY RIGHTS IN TERMS OF INHERITANCE, SUCH AS MASTER OF THE HIGH COURT, POLICE(CGPU) . I HAD FIVE (5) SOURCES: FOUR WOMEN AND ONE (1) MANWERE INTERVIEWED. Photo GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

  9. Feedback MOST FEEDBACK IS GIVEN IN THE FORM OF SMSES, TELEPHONE CALLS AND WATSAPP. SMS 2: I APPRECIATE A WONDERFUL INNITIATIVE THAT REA RIBOLLA TAKES TO SUPPORT ORPHANS Lerato. Scans, quotes CLARIFICATION ON THE MATTER. POLICE CALLED TO SEEK FOR MORE REA RIBOLLA CREW, THE OFFICE OF THE MASTER OF THE HIGH COURT, AS WELL AS THE POLICE, JOINED HANDS IN THE PROCESS OF REPOSSESSING THE VICTIM S PROPERTY. WITH GENDER ISSUES ALSO CONSULTED MY OFFICE. SOME NGO S DEALING SPECIFICALLY GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

  10. Follow up I HAVE AN INTENTION OF REVISITING THE CHIEFS, PARLIAMENTARIANS, NGO s AND THE COMMUNITY. REA RIBOLLA CREW HAS A GREAT CHALLENGE OF PRODUCING ANOTHER PROGRAM TO FIND OUT HOW WELL THE COMMUNITY IS BEING SENSITISED IN TERMS OF INHERITANCE AND PROPERTY RIGHTS; ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT CONCERN ORPHANS BETWEEN THE PERIOD OF THE PREVIOUS PROGRAM PRODUCTION AND THE PRESENT ONE.
