  3. Vision & Goals Vision Agewell Foundation is committed to make a coordinated effort with compassion and understanding to transform social attitudes towards senior citizens. The effort is to create the infrastructure to empower every older person. Goals Agewell has been set up to initiate better interaction between the generations. It endeavors to: Bring about a change in perceptions about Old Age Initiate steps towards senior citizens friendly environment Evolve a sense of moral and social responsibility towards senior citizens Advocate for the needs and rights of senior citizens Extend a helping hand to senior citizens wherever required

Current Activities Eklavya (Employment Exchange) An Intergenerational Initiative, as a gainful engagement for retired old persons To provide community involvement and to pursue opportunities for complete development of their potential Launched Home Tutors & Easy Accounts schemes as pilot projects in Delhi Initiated at district level through Agewell Consortium of volunteers spread across the country Over 45000 older persons registered so far Sahyog (Trauma Centre for older persons) Delhi s first Psychological Trauma Centre for older persons Equipped with qualified psychiatrist, doctors and trained counsellors Tie-up with renowned hospitals and medical research institutes

Current Activities Share the Warmth Campaign A special winter campaign of Agewell Foundation To protect destitute elderly from bone-chilling cold during winters During 2010-11 over 1 lac. pieces of woolens collected and distributed amongst over 30000 older persons During 2011-2012) over 3 lac pieces of woolens collected and distributed them amongst 100000 destitute & older persons During 2012-2013) 3 lac+ pieces of woolens, etc. collected and distributed them amongst 200000 destitute & older persons During 2013-2014) 2.5 lac+ pieces of woolens, etc. collected and distributed them amongst 150000 destitute & older persons Share the Warmth Campaign 2014-15 Collected 2.75 lac+ pieces of woolens, etc. and distribution amongst 175000 destitute & old persons Share the Warmth Campaign 2015-16 Collected and distributed 1.5 lac+ pieces of woolens Share the Warmth Campaign 2016-17 Collected and distributed 75000+ pieces of woolens, etc. Share the Warmth Campaign 2017-18 Collected and distributed 1,20,000+ pieces of woolens, etc. among 80000 destitute and elderly

Current Activities I Am Responsible Campaign A School Outreach Program in Collaboration with REC To sensitize school children towards needs of old people and energy & water conservation in Delhi-NCR through various mediums viz. Distribution of communication material (Booklet-cum-notebook, Stickers, etc.) among children Teachers workshops/ training programs Street plays/ songs/ painting competitions / debates Banners/Posters at schools Interactive dedicated website for the campaign Over 50000 school children across Delhi-NCR were contacted during the campaign Agewell Listening Post For providing elderly and alone a platform to share their feelings and lonely moments with dedicated counsellors / volunteers Qualified, experienced, and trained counsellors/volunteers

Current Activities Holistic Healthcare of Destitute Elderly in collaboration with Irish Aid to provide them required medical/ healthcare/relief material To ensure their health wellbeing and to create awareness about healthy and active old age Voluntary Network for Old Age Healthcare (Slums of Delhi & NCR) Voluntary Network Teams for Old Age Healthcare to create healthcare awareness in slum areas of Delhi & NCR Empower older persons to get proper low-cost or free of cost treatment, medicines, medical accessories for their diseases Health Care Training of Older Persons (Production and distribution of Health Care Training Manual in 7 major languages) In collaboration with Ford Foundation For Bedridden patients, Older Patients, their family members and Caregivers

Current Activities Digital Literacy Program for Older Persons For providing computer training to computer illiterate elderly (55+) in Delhi- NCR with financial support from Oracle To help retired elderly getting gainful engagement in old age To bridge the gap between generations Agewell Handicraft Unit For skill development training and empowerment of old people To assist senior artisans by providing opportunities for marketing of exclusiv handmade produce/ artifacts Agewell Squalor to Scholar project To provide educational / healthcare facilities to children belonging to poor families living in slums To empower children with strong fundamental human values and knowledge under patronage of old people
