What are we doing at NFS to help support this? Our vision is to ensure all our students achieve a good career through university or equivalent training. Our high aspirations combine the key strands of strong achievement, employability skills and consideration towards others which are summed up in our motto 'work hard be kind. These principles, which guide our school community, enable our students to reach this goal and be well rounded citizens who are highly desired by higher education and employers.

Students understand what they are and what they can do in order to demonstrate the skills. University aspiration NTU assembly Sutton Scholars group (5 year scheme) launched for key vulnerable (WP) students

What are we doing at NFS to help support this? Enrichment Employability skills have become a big focus of the enrichment programme. Students will now complete a log of the employability skills that have been covered within their enrichment sessions.
Apprenticeships There have been big changes to the way in which Apprenticeships are due to be run nationally If an employer has a pay bill over 3 million each year they will be required to offer apprenticeships. Companies are expected to take on a higher proportion of apprentices from May 2017 when the new laws are introduced
As an apprentice students will: work alongside experienced staff gain job-specific skills earn a wage and get holiday pay study towards a related qualification (usually one day a week) Apprenticeships take 1 to 4 years to complete depending on their level. Levels of apprenticeship Apprenticeships have equivalent educational levels.
