Our role as partner The Council Plan - Message from the Leader As a Council, we are committed to the ideal of public service for the public good. We will continue to deliver the high quality services that residents expect to receive but, more than that, we want to work with residents and our partners in the statutory and voluntary sectors for the good of this place and the people who live here . The Council s historic relationship with the voluntary and community sector has helped shape the sector we are today and we can be a key partner in helping to fulfill the commitment above made by the leader.
Voluntary Sector Position Statement We are value based We work to deliver a shared vision to serve local people well and the borough is a place where all can thrive We seek to work with the Council to deliver this vision We base our values on relational rather than transactional principles
